Vic 5 Orc

Vic 5 Orc

The first things that struck me when I received this orc, was the rather smug look on his ugly face and the way he holds his spear. It looked to me like he just pulled his spear out of a victim and was thinking (as far as thinking goes for an orc): "Ok, who's next?" So I just had to make a small diorama. The victim is an ice-troll from Old-Glory. The base was build up from self-hardening clay and different sizes of small stones, painted black and dry-brushed with different shades of gray. AT first I planned to paint the victim blue-white, it's an ice-troll anyway, but I repainted him later in green to bring at bit more color in the base. The only thing I'm not happy with is the cloak. It is not so visible in the pictures, but the blue isn't completely smooth and I can't get it right somehow. :-( On the other hand, I'm very happy with how the face turned out. p.s. The orc isn't green because I made a promise to myself never to paint a green orc again after painting up a regiment of orcs and getting extremely fed up with painting green-skins. :-) For more info on VIC 's see miniature-painting.net
